Speaking on the occasion of launching of Smart Campus, a Skill
Development Centre by TalentSprint in Gachibowli, Hyderabad today,
Hon’ble Governor Sri E.S.L. Narasimhan emphasised the need to provide
quality education from school- level itself.
Participating as the Chief Guest, the Governor said that the
education sector is not producing the desired results and needs to be
restructured. He said that students coming out of colleges are turning into
machines instead of human beings. He lamented that today’s engineering
graduates are unable face interviews due to lack of desired skills.
Thousands of Graduates are coming out of colleges every year with zero
skills, the Governor opined.
He also felt that with increasing digitisation in all aspects of life,
memory power is decreasing in students forcing them to rely more on
virtual world. He said that changes are necessary in methods of teaching
to ensure that students are fully equipped with required skills and are
ready to face the real time world.
